The new year is in full swing. Although you may still feel somewhat frazzled after the Christmas celebration. We hoped our Christmas Netflix list eased the pressure a little bit. So, we thought we’d help you shrug off the January blues. Here is another list that brings you our weekly highlights.
Here you’ll find the best shows coming to Netflix each week of February. Plus, a little bonus…
This real-life documentary, from the makers of Don’t F**k with Cats (2019), will start streaming on Netflix on the 2nd February.
They say diamonds are a girl’s best friend. What does that make the Prince of Diamonds?
Cecilie Fjellhoy, Pernilla Sjoholm and Ayleen Charlotte thought they’d struck gold on Tinder. Believed they’d finally found true love.
After swiping right, the “smart and funny” Simon Leviev swept them up into his exciting billionaire lifestyle. Travelling by private jet. Staying in palatial hotels. Enjoying city breaks in Rome, Mykonos and Tel Aviv. As one victim said: “it was like stepping into a movie.”
Little did they know, they’d actually stepped into a world full of deception, turmoil and danger. Simon Leviev is actually Shimon Hayut. He’s not the son of diamond mogul Lev Leviev but a heartless fraudster. Convicted for defrauding women back in 2015.
Cue the #shouldaswipedleft hashtags…
The premiere for this Limited Series will be streaming on 11th February and we at Broadband Freedom can’t wait!
Netflix and Shondaland (Bridgerton) join forces once again, for this drama based on real events. Director David Frankel (The Devil Wears Prada, 2006) is directing two episodes – including the first. He’s joined by cast member Emmy Award Winner Julia Garner (Ozark).
Jessica Pressler is a journalist at New York Magazine. In her search for a story, she comes across Anna Sorokin. Or, is it Anna Delvey? A German heiress or a penniless stranger? No one is quite sure…
Yet, Sorokin is a natural when it comes to navigating New York’s elite social circles. She wants to reach higher than the city’s skyscrapers. Without a hint of remorse for the people she steps on to get to the top.
Talk about Go for Broke…jeez Anna.
What’s scarier than an 18-month broadband contract? Leatherface wielding a chainsaw and hunting you in a big spooky house! Get ready to hide behind cushions, the sofa, or someone. Netflix unleashes Leatherface onto your screens this February 18th.
Horror fans are no doubt delighted to see the return of the masked icon. This spiritual successor disregards other instalments in the franchise. Acting instead as a direct sequel to the original The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974).
It follows a group of young people on a mission to set up a new business. As opposed to investigating grave robberies and vandalised burials of loved ones. Our cast of unsuspecting characters in this sequel initially finds themselves in happier circumstances. Until they stumble into a now sixty-year-old Leatherface’s lair. He’s clearly got grumpier with age but his lust for blood is stronger than ever!
Will he remember an old face hellbent on revenge…?
Netflix promises viewers a spectacle in this historical action spin-off. Titans like William the Conqueror and Harold Hardrada will be streaming onto your screens on February 25th.
Is that drums we hear?
Nope.
It’s six hundred thousand fans, clattering their shields in frenzied anticipation. The Vikings (2013 – 2020) franchise shows no signs of slowing down. Its trailer amassing over half a million views on YouTube just two days after it dropped.
The bloody adventures of Ragnar Lodbrok – the Allfather of all Vikings – drift into a time gone. The Age of Vikings is over. The foundation stones of the Medieval Ages set. Descendants of the north men duke it out for the throne of England.
You’ll know how this ends if you know your history. But with a screenplay by Jeb Stuart (Die Hard, 1988), this epic struggle for power will certainly be action-packed.
A fight you shouldn’t miss!
March 25th. Mark it in your calendar! We know…we know…it’s not out in February but when it comes to Bridgerton, we can break some rules, right?
The Romance Regency drama smashed records for streaming giant Netflix. Gracing up to 82 million screens 28 days after its premiere aired. Becoming the most-watched original service on Netflix until Squid Games surpassed it last year.
Executive producer Shonda Rhimes and her production company Shondaland return. As well as showrunner Chris Van Dusen. Golda Rosheuvel is back as her extravagant Majesty Queen Charlotte. There’s talk that maverick Eloise Bridgerton makes her debut in The ‘Ton.
Unfortunately, fans of Simon Basset (Regé-Jean Page) will burn for him this season. The actor recently confirmed his absence from Season 2. However, the story is supposedly focused on Anthony and his search for a perfect betrothal…
It’d ‘bee’ scandalous to miss out on Bridgerton Season 2.
We hope you’re just as excited as we are to watch our weekly highlights. Or maybe you’ll find something more to your taste in this comprehensive list. One thing’s for sure; Netflix in February is looking fab!
